After almost a year of waiting, the excitement of the first annual Mr. Electric Custom Chopper Sweepstakes will come to a head in grand style with “A Night at the Circus,” Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Ft. Worth Ronald McDonald House (1004 7th Avenue) from 6-8:30 PM.
Pizza, pasta and a fun circus atmosphere await all attendees. The winner of the custom chopper, Mike Brill, Sr. of Plainfield, IL will also be present to receive his motorcycle.
Mr. Electric partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) and Martin Brothers Bikes to raise funds and increase public awareness of the important work done by RMHC. A sweepstakes contest for a custom- built chopper from Martin Brothers Bikes wrapped up this summer with Brill as the big winner.
Representatives from RMHC and Mr. Electric will be on hand to discuss the event and the importance of supporting such a worthy charitable event. Fun is also available for kids of all ages with craft booths, balloon artists, face painting a magician and the man himself, Ronald McDonald.
Whether it’s finding a way for families to stay together when a child is undergoing treatment in another city, or helping to provide access to basic medical and dental care in under-served communities, the programs provided by Ronald McDonald House Charities® help support more than 3.7 million children worldwide each year. RMHC provides a home away from home for children and their families while the child is treated for serious, often life- threatening illnesses.
Local RMHC chapters have been established in 52 countries and regions around the world. These chapters create unique offerings to address the needs of children and families in their regions. They’ve built sports centers for disabled children, sensory rooms for children with cognitive and physical disabilities and developed other innovative ways to help change children’s lives.
“The Mr. Electric franchise family feels strongly about being an active member of the communities we serve and giving back to the people who trust us with their electrical services needs,” said Jeff Meyers, president of Mr. Electric. “Teaming up with RMHC is a great fit for us, with their focus on assisting children and families’ medical care. The team at Martin Brothers Bikes, besides being experts in custom-designed choppers, is also made up of kind, caring people who wanted to help. The positive dynamic between us was an instant hit and we look forward to continuing our successful relationship RMHC and the people they serve.”
